Ask for help
Repeat after me: “I am not superwoman. I am not superwoman. I am not superwoman.”
For a number of reasons, women often find it hard to ask others for help. Yet not asking for help (or asking for help too late) can lead to burn out and can turn an otherwise manageable situation into something more serious. Today, consider a task or area of your life that you could use help with and ask someone for their assistance. Consider using the 4 As (Accept, Assess, Ask, Again) as an approach to asking for help. If you’re not accustomed to asking for help, it may feel weird and downright difficult, but use today as an opportunity to practice a new skill set you can add to your self-care tool kit.
